Yes, to be POPI Act compliant, we require you to complete a confidentiality document for our records before access will be granted.

Once the documentation has been received and the checks has been done that the computer hardware is compatible with the PACS software, the IT team will install the necessary software via TeamViewer and do basic training on the system. This process, if all is in place, will take less than 15 minutes.

Our web access requires a Microsoft Windows based computer using Internet Explorer. All Windows versions, 7 or higher, Internet Explorer Version 8 and above are supported. An internet connection of 2Mbps or faster will be an advantage.
Minimum hardware required for good performance:
- Intel i3 or higher
- 8GB RAM or Higher
- 1 Gb Network card
- 2GB GPU or higher
- 19″ Monitor or better with 768 X 1024-pixel resolution

The MBRI PACS system will only work on an Apple (Mac) device if either bootcamp or windows parallel is installed on the device. MBRI does not stand in for the cost of this software.

Yes, the report is available with the images of the patient.

The images can be downloaded directly from the MBRI PACS system as either a Jpeg or Dicom image. Jpeg images can also be mailed upon request and completion of the necessary documentation. (Note: Jpeg images are non-diagnostic and no diagnosis can be made from it according to legislation).

Kindly note that due to the size of CT, MRI and Mammography imaging, these studies can not be mailed. If you require any of these, please contact IT Support to place on a disc for you to collect.
