Bone Mineral Density

This is a painless and non-invasive procedure to determine the state of your bone mineral density.

The test uses a very low dose of x-rays.

You will receive a set of measurements that will determine if your bone density falls within the normal, osteopaenic or osteoporotic range.

No special preparation is necessary for this test.

Notice: If you have had previous surgery to the back or hip let the radiographer know the details of this.
